Abstract

In September 2020, the number of poor people (residents with per capita expenditure per month below the poverty line) in Lampung reached 1.09 million people (12.76 percent), an increase of 41.82 thousand people compared to March 2020, which amounted to 1.05 million people (12.34 percent).

The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2020 was 9.59 percent, an increase of 0.57 points compared to March 2020 which amounted to 9.02 percent. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor people in rural areas in September 2020 was 14.22 percent or an increase of 0.39 points compared to March 2020 which was 13.83 percent.

During the period March - September 2020, the number of poor people in urban areas increased by 22.18 thousand people (from 237.10 thousand people in March 2020 to 259.28 thousand people in September 2020), while in rural areas it increased by 19, 64 thousand people (from 812.22 thousand people in March 2020 to 831.86 thousand people in September 2020).
