Abstract

In March 2022, the number of poor people (people with monthly per capita expenditure below the Poverty Line) in Lampung reached 1.00 million people (11.57 percent), a decrease of 4.61 thousand people compared to September 2021 which was 1.01 million people (11.67 percent).

The percentage of poor people in urban areas in March 2022 was 8.31 percent, down 0.19 points compared to September 2021 which was 8.50 percent. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor people in rural areas in March 2022 was 13.14 percent or decreased by 0.04 points when compared to September 2021 which was 13.18 percent.

During the period September 2021-March 2022, the number of poor people in urban areas fell by 1.7 thousand people (from 236.46 thousand people in September 2021 to 234.78 thousand people in March 2022), while in rural areas it fell by 2, 91 thousand people (from 770.54 thousand people in September 2021 to 767.63 thousand people in March 2022).
