September 19, 2024 | Other Activities

Thursday, 19 September 2024 - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) held a socialization and launch event for the 2024 Love Statistics Village in Kalianda, South Lampung. The opening began with the singing of the national songs "Indonesia Raya" and "South Lampung March" followed by the recitation of a solemn prayer. In the organizing report, Mr. Rudy R. explained that this activity was attended by 35 participants from various circles, including OPD representatives, village heads and village officials, Itera representatives, and of course village statistical agents. This activity aims to increase community contribution in managing statistical data, especially at the village level. The keynote speech by Mr. Arif Rahman Maulana highlighted the importance of the "Beautiful Villages (Love of Statistics)" program which is designed to support data-based village development. He emphasized that the success of programs implemented in villages depends on the validity and quality of the data managed. With BPS as a companion, it is hoped that villages can improve human resource capabilities and maximize the potential of each village. Welcome remarks from the Head of the PMD Service, Erdiansyah, emphasized that "whoever controls data will control the world." He reminded participants that not only collecting data is important, but also analyzing and utilizing that information for better planning. Next, the presentation of award certificates to selected villages was followed by socialization of the "Village of Love Statistics" program led by Mr. Yopie and the speaker was Mr. Pudji. In the discussion, participants were provided with knowledge about data management and the importance of data digitization. Through this effort, it is hoped that villages in South Lampung can be more empowered, actively involved in managing statistics, and produce development programs that are more targeted.
