Launching of the Statistical Love Village in South Lampung Regency

BPS South Lampung Regency inaugurated the declaration of the Village of Statistics Love in 2023 on Thursday and Friday, 19 and 20 October 2023. The declaration of the Village of Statistics Love is in two villages in different sub-districts, namely Cugung Village in Raja Basa District and Pasuruan Village in Penengahan District . The launch of the Village of Statistics Love was carried out at the Village Hall of each village, attended by several officials including the Village Head, Subdistrict Head, Community & Village Empowerment Service (PMD), Head of BPS South Lampung as well as community leaders and local environmental heads.

The Head of Cugung Village, Syafrudin Ali, in his speech expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the selection of Cugung Village as a Village of Statistics Love. Syafrudin Ali also expressed his hope that the Beautiful Village (Desa Cantik) program could advance Cugung Village, especially in terms of completeness and availability of data at the village level.

In his speech which also inaugurated the declaration of Cugung Village as a Beautiful Village, the Head of BPS South Lampung, Arif Rahman Maulana, expressed the crucial position of the village today as the subject and spearhead of development, changing from its previous position as only an object of development. Apart from that, the Head of BPS South Lampung also expressed the importance of quality data to determine appropriate development policies and to control development achievements.

An explanation regarding statistical guidance to village statistical agents was delivered by Pudjiono SST., M.M, and Rudi Ramadani Syoer, SST., M.Si, which was then continued by filling in the Desa Cantik electronic worksheet to conclude this activity.
