ST2023 Processing Data Evaluation Workshop in Bandar Lampung

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of South Lampung Regency took part in a workshop on evaluating data from processing the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST) held by BPS Lampung Province which lasted for two days, 16 & 17 November 2023, at the Radisson Hotel, Bandar Lampung. 13 people participated from South Lampung, consisting of 8 people from BPS South Lampung Regency and 5 people from the department/OPD. The BPS was joined by the Head of BPS South Lampung Regency and the ST 2023 BPS South Lampung Regency implementation team. Meanwhile, the departments consist of the Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Service, Fisheries Service, Livestock and Animal Health Service, Communications and Information Service, and Bappeda.

This workshop was attended by the Director of Livestock, Fisheries and Forestry Statistics (SP2K) BPS RI, Head of BPS Lampung Province, Head of BPS Regency/City throughout Lampung Province, Chair and entire ST2023 Implementation Team for Lampung Province and Regency/City, as well as representatives from Department/City Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) in charge of agriculture throughout Lampung Province as well as Secretary of the Mainstay Farmer Fisherman Contact (KTNA) for Lampung Province.

In his speech, the Director of SP2K BPS RI Adhi Wiriana said that the ST2023 results data will be released on December 4 2023. This data is basic agricultural data which is very important for various purposes, both by the government, the private sector and the community.

"Therefore, ST2023 result data needs to be supported by complete phenomena and information from both internal BPS and Department/OPD," said Adhi.

Adhi appreciated the extraordinary work that has been carried out by Regency/City BPS which has carried out continuous verification and further validation to improve the quality of ST2023 data. The ST2023 result figures that will be released must have been carefully scrutinized and confirmed together during this two-day workshop event both by internal BPS and from relevant external OPD parties in each district/city.

"Make sure all figures are in accordance with field data, comparability with ST2013 results can be explained, collaborate and coordinate with the Department/OPD regarding the phenomenon of increasing and/or decreasing ST2023 result data, and ensure that the consistency of total and/or aggregate figures between tables is correct," he said.

Some of the phenomena that have emerged in districts/cities have confirmed and are in accordance with the data from ST2023 results, some data still needs to be confirmed with data from OPD so it is still necessary to immediately find supporting data and phenomena.

The results of discussions with all OPDs will be used as input and supporting material for the analysis of the ST2023 Results for Lampung Province.

Separately, Head of BPS Lampung Atas Province, Parlindungan Lubis, appreciated the extraordinary work of the ST2023 Team at BPS Districts/Cities throughout Lampung Province, who have overseen the long process so that the time has come for us to publish the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census in Lampung according to the predetermined schedule. .

"Thank you also to Stakeholders from the relevant OPD for their assistance and cooperation during ST2023. We hope that this collaboration can produce accurate and high-quality ST2023 results data so that it can be utilized optimally by various parties," he concluded.
