South Lampung BPS Participates in Labor Data Workshop

Three South Lampung Regency BPS employees took part in the 2023 Regency/City Workforce Data workshop for Lampung Province which was held by BPS Lampung Province for two days, 23 & 24 November 2023, at the Emersia Hotel, Bandar Lampung.

This activity was opened directly by the Head of BPS Lampung Province, Atas Parlindungan Lubis. On this occasion, Pak Atas conveyed the importance of collaboration between sectors. "With the absence of these barriers, it is hoped that we will be able to maximize the potential that already exists and explore further things that we don't yet have."

The Labor Data Workshop begins with a single age calculation along with projections. Not only were they given an explanation of the calculation method, the participants were also invited to practice tabulating population age projections from 2020 to 2035. The workshop participants were also provided with a discussion of Analysis of the Relationship between Employment Data and Macro Data and closed with material on calculating Minimum Wages for Districts and Cities.

The second day, November 24 2023, opened with the Calculation of Employment Indicators. From these calculations, indicators are produced in the form of Indonesian Labor Market Indicators or Key Indicators of Labor Market (KILM), Decent Work Indicators, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) and other indicators. Not only that, presenters from BPS RI in the sub-directorate of employment also explained the Calculation of Relative Standard Error (RSE). The Lampung Province Labor Data Workshop closed with a presentation regarding the Draft Employment Publication which will later become a "provision" for the Regency/City BPS to prepare this publication next year.
