BPS Lampung Selatan Discuss Institutional and Statistical Business Processes in PSS

Lampung Selatan, May 21, 2025 - The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Lampung Selatan Regency held a Sectoral Statistics Development activity as an effort to strengthen the capacity of statistical implementation within the local government. This activity was carried out by raising two main topics, namely Statistical Institutions and Statistical Business Processes, which are the basis for building an effective and integrated sectoral statistical system.

The offline event was attended by the Walidata of South Lampung Regency, as well as representatives from Bappeda, the Health Office, the Food Security Office, and 8 other Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) that have a strategic role in collecting and managing sectoral data.

The Head of BPS of South Lampung Regency in his remarks said that this coaching aims to increase the understanding of regional apparatus on the importance of good sectoral statistical governance. “Through the strengthening of statistical institutions and the implementation of standardized statistical business processes, we hope that the quality of sectoral data will increase and can become the basis for more accurate development planning,” he said.

Selama kegiatan berlangsung, peserta mendapatkan materi mengenai pentingnya penunjukan unit pengelola data di masing-masing OPD, peran walidata dan produsen data, serta tahapan proses bisnis statistik mulai dari perencanaan, pengumpulan, pengolahan, hingga diseminasi data. Diskusi interaktif juga digelar guna menjawab berbagai tantangan teknis yang dihadapi OPD dalam pengelolaan data.

Kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari komitmen BPS dalam mendukung implementasi Satu Data Indonesia (SDI) di tingkat daerah, yang menekankan pada standar data, metadata, interoperabilitas, dan kode referensi yang seragam.

Dengan adanya pembinaan ini, diharapkan OPD di lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dapat semakin optimal dalam menghasilkan data sektoral yang akurat, mutakhir, terpadu, dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.
