South Lampung BPS Visits Way Kalam Village for the Village Love Statistics Program: Focus on Identifying Village Population Data Needs Tuesday, 27 August 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of South Lampung Regency visited Way Kalam Village with street vendors' children from Itera. This visit is part of the Village Love Statistics (Desa Cantik) program which aims to identify village needs and strengthen an accurate and up-to-date statistical database. During the meeting, South Lampung Regency BPS conducted a comprehensive population data identification interview in Way Kalam Village. One of the main issues discussed was related to regional topography, problems, and available data which encouraged BPS to further explore the need for appropriate data in order to produce more representative information. This visit marked a significant first step in the efforts of South Lampung Regency BPS and Way Kalam Village to jointly create a more advanced, transparent and highly competitive village through better data management.
