Enumeration of Price Ranges Supports Implementation of Susenas Seruti 2024

The Central Statistics Agency carries out the routine agenda of the 2024 National Economic Survey (Susenas) and Quarterly Household Survey (Seruti). The implementation produces macro poverty indicators so that implementation requires good preparation. This survey collects information regarding the "Amount" and "Value" of household consumption for 197 food, beverage and cigarette commodities, and 122 non-food commodities. Information regarding the "Quantity" and "Value" of commodities/goods is closely related to the price of commodities/goods because "Value" divided by "Quantity" produces the price per standard unit of the commodity or good. So the standard unit price of commodities is an important component in collecting and processing Susenas data. The standard unit price of a commodity is greatly influenced by the quality of the commodity/goods and is also influenced by the availability of goods and the high level of demand. Therefore, the prices used in the process of collecting and processing Susenas data are not a single value but a range of values ​​called minimum and maximum prices. For these needs, a Price Range Survey is carried out which is used to collect the minimum and maximum prices for a commodity/good. Enumeration of Price Ranges is carried out simultaneously with the implementation of Conversion data collection by identifying commodities that are usually purchased/consumed by households. Next, collect price data in markets, mini markets, super markets, traveling traders, street vendors, located around the 2024 Susenas and Seruti enumeration work areas as well as price data in marketplaces/online shops as well as data from related departments/agencies/institutions. The Price Range Survey for Susenas was carried out by 17 Organic Supervisors at BPS South Lampung Regency. It is hoped that enumerating price ranges can be the first step in producing accurate Susenas data. (RSD)
