2024 MSBP Susenas Price Range Survey

The 2024 MSBP Susenas collects information on the “Amount” and “Value” of household consumption for 197 food commodities, beverages and cigarettes, and 122 non-food commodities. Information on the “Amount” and “Value” of Commodities/Goods is closely related to the price of commodities/Goods because the “Value” divided by the “Amount” produces the price per standard unit of the commodity or Goods. So the price per standard unit of the commodity is one of the important components in data collection and processing.

 

The price per standard unit of the commodity is greatly influenced by the quality of the commodity/Goods and is also influenced by the availability of goods and the high level of demand. The price used in the process of collecting and processing VSEN24.KP data is not a single value but is a range of values ​​called the minimum price and maximum price.

 

The determination of the minimum price and maximum price of a commodity/Goods is carried out with certain rules so that it can apply throughout Indonesia. For this purpose, the BPS of Lampung Selatan Regency collected price range data as well as commodity conversion to collect the minimum and maximum prices of a commodity/goods and convert local units used by respondents into standard units contained in the Susenas MSBP and Seruti questionnaires for Quarter III 2024. The RH enumeration was carried out in 5 markets spread across 5 sub-districts, one of which was in Pasuruan Market, Penengahan District.
