Observe the KSA Segment Directly, Head of BPS Lampung Province Descends to Palas Jaya

Wednesday (27/12), Head of BPS Lampung Province, Atas Parlindungan Lubis, went directly to Palas District to observe 3 of the 12 KSA segments in the district. Area Sample Frame (KSA) is an area-based survey carried out by direct observation of sample segments and aims to estimate the area by extrapolation from the sample to the population in a relatively short period (rapid estimate). This KSA activity is an important routine activity carried out every last 7 days of each month.

On the field agenda this time, the BPS group was attended by the Head of BPS and First Statistician of BPS Lampung Province as well as the Head of BPS, Middle Statistician, Young Statistician, and First Statistician of BPS South Lampung Regency. The rice fields that are the monitoring area this time were originally irrigated rice fields, but are now rain-fed rice fields because the water supply from the Sukaraja dam has decreased. The land processing plan will be implemented in February with peak harvest between May and June. The land was last harvested in November.
