Lampung Province BPS 2023 Team at PES ST2023 Field Reconciliation Activities

KALIANDA- Monday, 20 November 2023 BPS South Lampung Regency received a visit from the 2023 Agricultural Census Post Enumeration Survey (PES) field reconciliation supervision team (ST2023) from BPS Lampung Province, Febiyana Qomariyah and Radika Trianda for two days (20-21 November 2023).

Field reconciliation activities are new in the 2023 Agricultural Census Post Enumeration Survey (PES) business process (ST2023). PES field reconciliation is the activity of revisiting Individual Agricultural Businesses (UTP) with status that may be matched, only in ST or only in PES to clarify the existence of UTP. Field reconciliation is not to correct the results of the ST2023 enumeration or the results of the PES enumeration, but to clarify the information that has been collected in each activity. The period for implementing field reconciliation is 13 – 30 November 2023. Field reconciliation is carried out by the officer concerned who is the field examiner (PML) during the PES ST2023 census.

Febi explained that one of the objectives of this supervision is to ensure that the implementation of PES field reconciliation is carried out according to the SOP so that the results can actually produce indicators that can be measured. On this first day, the field reconciliation officers accompanied were Febriana Dwi Jayanti and Frida J. Hutabarat with the locus in Balinuraga Village, Way Panji District. PES Field Reconciliation on the second day (21 November 2023) continues. The focus of this visit was the sub-district with the largest area and largest population, Natar sub-district in Merak Batin village.

Some non-matching conditions, such as UTP appearing in ST2023 but not in PES or vice versa, can be explained by this activity. On the same day (22/11), field reconciliation activities for the Post Enumeration Survey (PES) for the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) were also being carried out in other areas, namely Kalianda sub-district, Taji Malela and Mjuk Sampurna villages.
