October 31, 2023 | BPS Activities
Tuesday 31 October 2023, BPS South Lampung Regency carried
out a ground check regarding data from the 2023 Agricultural Census processing
results. Re-checking needs to be carried out to correct and confirm data that
is indicated as an anomaly because it could be one of the causes of the anomaly
in 2023 Agricultural Census Results.
The ground check activity was carried out by South
Lampung Regency BPS employees spread across several sub-districts in South
Lampung Regency. Some of the questions asked in the ground check are to find
out whether farmers have more than 10 hectares of land in one plot. Apart from
that, ground check officers also asked about the commodity prices of rice,
corn, cassava, cayenne pepper, red chilies, information and other horticultural
crops in each sub-district in 2022. Ground check officers also asked about phenomena
that have occurred so far. This is an agricultural period both in terms of
increased production and crop failure. Phenomena that occur during the
production period with the aim of increasing production can take the form of
irrigation improvement programs, the use of organic fertilizer, or other
special programs. Meanwhile, phenomena that occur that can result in crop
failure can include massive pest attacks, lack of air, or changes in planting
patterns.
With this ground check activity, it is hoped that Agricultural Census data will be produced that is increasingly high quality and in accordance with current conditions in the field. So that in the future it can be used by various parties who need information related to the 2023 Agricultural Census.
