The BPS-Statistics of Lampung Selatan Regency started data collection for the 2022 Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) from the residence of Lampung Selatan Regency H. Nanang Ermanto in Way Galih Village, Tanjung Bintang District, Saturday (15/10/2022).
On this occasion, the Head of The BPS-Statistics of Lampung Selatan Regency, Arif Rahman Maulana, was accompanied by representatives of The BPS-Statistics of Lampung Province's Assistance Team along with census officers.
The group was greeted and received directly by Regent Nanang Ermanto accompanied by Mrs. Regent Winarni Nanang Ermanto, Secretary of Lampung Selatan Regency Thamrin, and related staff.
Head of The BPS-Statistics of Lampung Selatan Regency - Arif Rahman Maulana said, The BPS-Statistics of Lampung Selatan Regency will carry out initial data collection for socio-economic registration or (Regsosek) 2022 starting from October 15 to November 14, 2022.
"In the framework of providing socio-economic data that will be used as a target reference and integration of one data on social protection and community empowerment programs," explained Arif.
He explained that the data collection will be carried out using a door-to-door census from house to house by officers. Regsosek officers will visit every resident's house to conduct interviews and record socio-economic data of the community.
Representing the Head of the Lampung Province BPS Mas'ud Rifai S.Si, the Lampung Province BPS Social Statistics Function Coordinator, added that Regsosek data can be used to improve the quality of various government services such as education, social assistance, health, to population administration.
"The purpose of the initial Regsosek data collection is to provide a system and database for the entire population consisting of profiles, social, economic conditions, and welfare levels related to population master data and other databases up to the village/kelurahan level," he added.
Meanwhile, South Lampung Regent H. Nanang Ermanto fully supports the 2022 Regsosek activities. He invites the entire community to make this activity a success by giving honest and candid answers.
"With quality data, it helps the realization of the people of South Lampung with integrity, progress and prosperity," Nanang asked.
Nanang said that this data collection activity is important, Regsosek data is a government effort that can later be used in determining policy directions by all programs and services to the community.
“The results of the regsosek data collection will be a reference for the government to make regional policies. Therefore, the data collection process must touch all parties," concluded Nanang. (hy)
