Abstract

The number of workers based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2024 was 4,996.75 thousand people, an increase of 91.85 thousand people compared to August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 0.38 percentage points.

The working population in August 2024 was 4,787.59 thousand people, an increase of 89.93 thousand people from August 2023. The fields of employment that experienced the largest increase were Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair and Maintenance by 49.33 thousand people.

In August 2024, 1,477.48 thousand people (30.86 percent) worked in formal activities, up 1.53 percentage points compared to August 2023.

The percentage of underemployed and part-time workers increased by 1.12 percentage points, and by 1.23 percentage points compared to August 2023.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 4.19 percent, down 0.04 percentage points compared to August 2023
