The Highest Inflation Occurred in East Lampung Regency at 4.83 percent

Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Lampung Province will be 3.45 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.35. The highest inflation occurred in East Lampung Regency at 4.83 percent, with a CPI of 109.98 and the lowest occurred in Bandar Lampung City at 2.72 percent with a CPI of 106.00.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most indexes (inflation) of expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group which experienced inflation of 8.23 percent; clothing and footwear group 3.71 percent; housing, water, electricity, household fuel group 0.77 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 0.35 percent; health group 1.20 percent; transportation group 0.28 percent; recreation, sports and culture group 1.17 percent; education group 2.73 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 0.93 percent; and the personal care and other services group 1.97 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decline in the index was the information, communication and financial services group which experienced deflation of 0.18 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in March 2024 recorded inflation of 0.36 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in March 2024 experienced inflation of 0.56 percent.
