Lampung Selatan — The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Selatan Regency held a launch and capacity-building event for the “Cinta Statistik” (Cantik) Village Initiative, as well as a Focus Group Discussion on Public Service Standards, as part of efforts to improve the quality of statistical capacity-building activities in government agencies, institutions, and village offices, and to enhance the quality of public service delivery.
The Head of the Lampung Selatan Regency BPS, Eko Purnomo, emphasized in his remarks that villages play a strategic role as the spearhead of development, making the strengthening of data management capacity crucial.
The Head of the Lampung Selatan Regency Community and Village Empowerment Office, Erdiyansyah, highlighted the importance of data in supporting targeted development.
During this event, the “Beautiful Village 2026” initiative was launched, and six Statistical Agents were inaugurated. These agents represent the three pilot villages for the “Beautiful Village 2026” program in Lampung Selatan Regency: Sukaratu Village, Tajimalela Village, and Tengkujuh Village.
Following the launch event, the program continued with presentations on the “Beautiful Village” initiative, the 2026 Economic Census, and the DTSEN. This was followed by a Focus Group Discussion on the Public Service Standards implemented by the Lampung Selatan Regency BPS to ensure data quality and public satisfaction.
