BPS Hearing with ASDP Bakauheni General Manager

Bakauheni, Lampung Selatan - On Friday, January 24, 2025, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Lampung Selatan Regency held an audience with the management of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Bakauheni Branch. The audience was led by the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Selatan Regency with Distribution Team, accompanied by the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Selatan Regency and representatives from BPS-Statistics Lampung Province.

This audience aims to establish synergy and collaboration in the collection of transportation data, especially those related to the mobility of passengers, goods and vehicles at Bakauheni Port. This data has an important role in supporting the preparation of distribution and transportation statistics that are accurate, relevant, and useful for development planning.

On this occasion, the BPS team conveyed the importance of transportation data as one of the main indicators that reflect the economic dynamics in the Lampung Selatan region. In addition, BPS also explained the data collection methods and the role of PT ASDP as a strategic partner in providing quality data.

PT ASDP Bakauheni welcomed this hearing and expressed its commitment to support BPS in providing the data needed. Constructive discussions also took place regarding the data exchange mechanism and joint efforts to ensure the accuracy of the data produced.

Through this hearing, it is hoped that a solid cooperation will be created between BPS and PT ASDP Bakauheni in supporting the development of transportation and distribution statistics in Lampung Selatan Regency. The results will be an important foundation for data-based policy making, both at the regional and national levels.
