Training of Micro and Small Industry Survey Officers (VIMK)

Kalianda, October 07, 2024 - The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Lampung Selatan Regency held the Micro and Small Industry Survey Officer Training (VIMK24) which aims to strengthen the strategic role of data in national economic development. This survey is the foundation in compiling a profile of Micro and Small Industries (IMK) in Indonesia which will be used as macro planning material and quarterly Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) calculations.

The one-day training at the BPS Hall in Lampung Selatan Regency was attended by 3 PMLs and 8 PCLs from various sub-districts. The participants were given a thorough understanding of their duties in recording IMK in the field with the aim of, among others, gaining an understanding and explanation of the activities of the Quarterly IMK Survey; understanding the scope of their duties; being able to conduct data collection properly and correctly by utilizing available technology; being able to improve the quality of work results in the field by producing objective and modern industrial data, as well as being more accurate and timely.
