On 18–19 August 2022, BPS Kab. South Lampung held the 2020 Population Census Long Form Evaluation Meeting (LFSP) at the Bukit Randu Hotel, Bandar Lampung.
This activity was attended by all BPS Kab. South Lampung and also representatives from the five offices/OPD Kab. South Lampung, namely:
1. Bappeda (Regional Development Planning Agency for South Lampung Regency): Karsinah, S.Sos.
2. Disdukcapil (Department of Population and Civil Registration of South Lampung Regency): Paulus Cristian Subianto, ST., MM.
3. DPPPA (Department of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, South Lampung Regency): Deslidiawati, S.Kom.
4. Diskominfo (Department of Communication and Informatics): Yofi Oktarini, S.E., MM.
5. TPHBun Service (Department of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantation of South Lampung Regency): Mei Johni, SP., MM.
This activity discussed evaluating the results of the LFSP2020 as well as socializing the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST) activities.
The resource persons were from BPS Lampung Province: Mas'ud Rifai, SST.; Coordinator of Social Statistics Function BPS Kab. South Lampung : Nani Kartini, SST.; and Coordinator of Production Statistics Function : Pudjiono, SST.
The SPLF2020 activity, which is an effort by BPS to present population data with complete characteristics, has just completed the stages in the field. So far, several temporary population indicators have been obtained, namely fertility rates, age composition and migration. Meanwhile, several population indicators that cannot be obtained due to the ongoing processing of the SPLF2020 include social indicators of education, disability, employment and housing. Hopefully all existing SPLF2020 business processes can run smoothly. So that all required population indicator data can be released on schedule, January 23, 2023.
BPS cooperates with Disdukcapil to realize the One Indonesian Population Data Program. If we compare the population projection data for 2021 from the BPS for South Lampung Regency with the Disdukcapil data for the second semester of 2021, there is a difference of 8,448 people. This is considered quite good considering that so far the data from BPS and Disdukcapil are not the same due to differences in population methods and concepts. In presenting
realtime data, Disdukcapil has tried to maximize its services. However, this effort is constrained by one thing, namely the difficulty of updating death data due to the lack of death reports from the public. Meanwhile, the recording of birth data is quite good. Hopefully in the future the data produced by BPS and Disdukcapil can synergize and provide information
benefits for development in South Lampung Regency.
In addition, BPS Kab. South Lampung conducted socialization related to the Agricultural Census (ST2023). ST 2023 is a priority activity for BPS in 2023 and carries the theme "Requesting Indonesian Agriculture for Food Sovereignty and Farmer Welfare". This activity is a momentum for improving agricultural data by collecting data on farmer demographics, agricultural land, agricultural services, employment, agricultural business information (six sub-sectors), agricultural tools and machinery, as well as agricultural management. To prepare for the 2023 Agricultural Census, BPS established the ST2023 Agriculture Room (Agro), which is a working group as a catalyst for information circulation and a booster in the network and ensures that ST2023 is carried out according to the specified design. ST2023 field enumeration activities will be carried out in July–August 2023.
